• Community sensitization sessions on breast cancer and cervical cancer signs, risk factors, and referral pathways.
• Awareness education on the prevention and transmission of infectious diseases.
• Distribution of drugs to participating women and children.
• Distribution of WASH kits and hygiene kits to participating households.
• Distribution of menstrual pads and tissue paper as dignity supplies.

Results

• 300 women reached with cancer and infectious disease sensitization.
• 200 children reached through the same outreach.
• Drugs, WASH kits, hygiene kits, and menstrual hygiene supplies delivered to the Koma community.

What we learned

• Pairing health education with tangible supplies — drugs, hygiene kits, menstrual pads — materially increases turnout and retention in remote hill communities.
• Partnership with RUWASA allowed the WASH component to be delivered alongside health messaging rather than as a separate visit.
